Radio frequency thermal ablation7. Radio Frequency Thermal Ablation:
In this procedure, spinal probes are inserted into the nerve cells of certain nerves and tiny amounts of heat are applied very precisely. Once again, this procedure is performed under C-arm fluoroscopy and needs precise knowledge, skill and technical expertise in order to ensure safety, with resulting success.

Disc Biaculoplasty8. Disc Biacuplasty:
Disc Biacuplasty is used by insertion of two probes into the center of the disc to treat patients with chronic back pain originating in the spinal disc. It involves using two water-cooled probe electrodes that maximize the treatment area while minimizing excessive heat by targeting the pain-generating nerves, intending to stop them from transmitting pain signals. This treatment could greatly reduce pain, or even eliminate it. Disc Biacuplasty may even be an alternative to back surgery in some cases.

Radio frequency cooled neurotomy for SI joint pain9. Radio frequency cooled Neurotomy for SI joint pain:
This is a new treatment modality for treatment of back pain from SI joint pain which is refractory to all other conservative treatments including surgery. Probes are inserted at certain areas of the sacrum to ablate the nerve fibers supplying the SI joint.

Vertebroplasty10. Vertebroplasty:
Select vertebral fractures from osteoporosis are treated by insertion of a probe into the fractured area of the vertebra and then filled with cement to both fill the softened part of the bone and to restore the size and reduce pain.

Vertebroplasty11. Removal Of Cancer Tissue In Spine And Pelvic Bone Using Plasma Technology Or Coblation.
New effective technology for the cancer sufferer from metastases or cancer spread to the spine. Dr. Vengurlekar introduces the wand into the targeted Cancer Tumour tissue in the spine under Fluoroscopy and after creation of a controlled cavity or space, and then introduces medical grade cement is introduced into the same to provide stability and strength to the weakened bone of the spine.

This method of treatment is used for metastases to the spine from cancer of the breast, lung, prostate, colon, etc. Patients have almost instant relief from pain and are able to be back on their feet with in a couple of days in most cases.

Joint/ Tendon/ Bursa Injections12. Joint/ Tendon/ Bursa Injections:
A variety of joint pain disorders and joint pain patients come to Dr. Vengurlekar’s offices. Many such patients have severe limitation of mobility with pain and discomfort, and have been immensely helped by joint injection procedures and occasionally gentle manipulations to improve the range of mobility and restoration of function. Similarly, many patients present with variety of tendinitis and bursitis, and they have also been helped by Dr. Vengurlekar.

Neural blockade of certain nerves of the head and neck13. Neural blockade of certain nerves of the head and neck:
These are extremely useful in both the diagnosis and treatment of certain neck pain disorders, and certain pain disorders of the head and face.

Racz Catheter14. Racz Catheter:
In this procedure, a fine tubing is passed into the spinal canal under X-ray vision, and the tip of this coiled catheter is positioned against scar tissue, so that medication can be injected.
